A few minutes walk from the
houses are the shops and cafe bars in Burgau village, from where
cobbled streets tumble down to the idyllic sandy Blue Flag beach. At
Burgau Beach Bar you can quench your thirst and eat sumptuous food or
snacks while taking in the sights and sounds of sand and sea !

Burgau village is
situated near the South Western tip of Southern Portugal
at the edge of the fabulous Parque Natural do S.W. Alentejano &
Costa Vicentina.
This is the quieter more traditional part of The
Algarve where the people are genuinely friendly and helpful.
The coastal scenery is
stunning with cliffs, undiscovered beaches and colourful
villages to explore!

Lagos
is about 10 Km to the east and has a lovely palm-fringed
water front. 
Within the ancient town walls there are narrow cobbled
streets with colourful shops, friendly people and everywhere
you turn is a picture-postcard vista! The
historic old fort, castle walls, old slave market, churches, daily fish market, the
weekly farmer's market, the marina, all must be experienced.
Of course children and adults alike love to Lagos Zoo,
dolphin safaris and nearby Zoomarine and other water parks!
Portimao,
the second largest town in the Algarve, is a port with a
seafaring tradition dating back to Roman times. Local
shopping opportunities have recently been greatly enhanced
with the addition of several large shopping malls and
cinemas. It is a 20 minute drive from Burgau.
